APC’ll apply for registration next week information and news

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will next week apply for registration at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The APC Steering Committee, after a closed door meeting held yesterday in Abuja, said all documents needed to seek the registration had been gathered.

Chairman of the committee, Chief Tom Ikimi, told journalists that all the merger parties, including the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) had complied with INEC requirements.

Ikimi said: “We met to review all our documentations to ensure that none contravened the relevant electoral laws guiding political party registration. From every indication, all the documents are okay and I am very pleased that everything is on course.
All the three merging parties, ACN, ANPP and CPC have since furnished the reports of their national conventions to INEC and the commission also observed their conventions. What is remaining now is for us to send our application for registration to INEC with relevant documents.”
