Reduce Body Fat

Shane Jeremy James, the people guru, warns about the wrong motivation to weight loss. He said in his book, Think, Act, Love, Lose Weight, "We all seek the motivation, insight and wisdom to turn our goals into reality. Without the right motivation, as we get closer and closer to our long-sought goals, they may turn into a mirage. The wrong motivation is why many weight loss plans spiral into a cycle of yo-yo dieting."

If you've tried starving yourself for days and days - enduring dizziness, rumbling stomach, feeling week - you're actually not doing something to reduce body fat. In fact, you're encouraging your system to store the foods that you eat, and you are slowing your metabolism down. And that's precisely what you don't want. Instead, eat the right portions and never skip a meal. Do not let your body brace for starvation mode because it will definitely do whatever it can to protect you, and that includes storing everything it can.

Water, the tasteless, odorless and colorless liquid, you need this to reduce body fat. Not only will it keep you hydrated, it serves as a lubricant for all your organs. Most importantly, it will help liver function efficiently in terms of its converting fat into energy. You have to drink at least 3.7 liters if you're male and 2.7 if you're female.

Aerobic exercises or cardio should be done 3-4 times a week. There are a variety of cardio exercises and there should be one that you like the most. You could go running, swimming, dancing, walking, etc. To avoid being bored and getting used to the certain exercise, try mixing it up. The different exercises have different fat burning properties that could help you burn more fat.

Another activity that will help you reduce body fat is weight training. As much as it doesn't sound to be directly affecting fat, it will do its magic once you have the muscle mass. Muscles are metabolism boosters. They actually burn calories all the time even when you're not doing anything. The more muscles you have, the more calories you'd be burning. Like cardio, do this 3-4 times a week. If you're looking into mixing the two up, do weight training in the morning and cardio in the afternoon or early evening.
